Paper Raffia Yarn

You've probably heard us bang on about it. The yarn we tuck into every bag kit - the one that turns first-time crocheters into cute little show-offs at brunch (and rightly so!).

We're now selling it on its own. So you can practise, swatch, freestyle a coaster, restock for a second bag, or finally start that project you've been pinning since 2023 - without buying a whole new kit.

It's smooth, structural, and holds its shape like a dream, which is why every Nana Sport bag has had it from day one.

Our paper raffia is a premium, super-soft, sustainable paper yarn - made from wood fibre. Here's what makes it the one we keep coming back to:

Beginner-friendly?

Absolutely yes. And we'd argue more beginner-friendly than most yarns out there.

Paper raffia doesn't unravel as you work, it holds its tension nicely, and it shows your stitches clearly - so you can easily see what you're doing. No squinting at fluffy wool trying to work out where your last loop went.

What can you make with it?

The honest answer: anything that wants a bit of structure and a beautiful natural texture.

• Bags - totes, clutches, crossbody, market bags, beach bags
• Baskets - plant pots, fruit bowls, catch-alls for the entryway
• Hats - light enough for Aussie summers
• Coasters + placemats - beginner gold, and an excellent gift
